The following information came from a PEI descendant (R.MacA.) who has an original document from the Robert H. Horn family. He states:

"my grand aunt, Sarah Miller Horn, born January 5,1855......married Robert Gavin on Nov 9th, 1877. She died April 5th,1884 in [North] Dakota...... My records indicate that on February 13, 1881 they had a female child......"

I have been unable to find the widowedRobert in the 1891 or 1901 census records. However, Robert and his son Robert appear in the 1910 census for Washington State.

1910 Census - Tacoma Ward 4, Pierce County, Washington
Robert Gavin, 59, b. Canada, father b. Scotland, widower, arrived in US in 1882, junk dealer, junk store
Robert H.B. Gavin, 30, single, junk dealer, junk store

I have been unable to find these two in the 1920 or 1930 US census records.
