Modern Map of Draper

Click on maps to enlarge - The top map is a modern map of Muskoka showing the lots and concessions. The concession numbers are in Roman numerals. The lot numbers are shown at the bottom along the line where you see Germania. The Gavin land was in Draper Township on Lots 24 and 25 of Concession XI. Top left of the map is the town of Bracebridge. The black road running from left to right from the town is the Fraserburg Rd. The yellow land across from the old Gavin property is Colsen land. The concession road is still there ( a left turn at Colsen's) but the road on the otherside is not in use. However, a trail is visible. It should be roughly in line with the road that turns left at Colsens. Looking at the old map below, you will see that the houses on Concession XI and X were on both sides of this concession road. The old map from the Historical Atlas has the names of the residents at 1878. The Gavin land is shown in yellow on the bottom map.
