Gavin Homestead in Poland
Click to enlarge: 1921 picture of the Gavin farm when the Barrs lived there. It is thought to be the house in which Robert and Sarah's family were raised. William Gavin, Robert's youngest son, was living in Poland when the 1891 census was taken but had moved to Northern Ontario by the 1901 census. The house was dismantled sometime after this photo was taken. Contributed by E.G.
